Healthcare Technology Co-operatives

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is inviting bids from joint NHS and industry collaborations for infrastructure funding to lead the development of medical devices and healthcare technologies in clinical areas with ‘high morbidity where needs of NHS patients are unment’. Led by an NHS clinical director, each Healthcare Technology Co-operative (HTC) will involve a multidisciplinary team working in collaboration with industry, patient groups, academic researchers and charities with the aim of improving patient quality of life through the development of new medical devices and healthcare technologies.
