The Greater Manchester Academic Health Science Network (GM AHSN) is licenced by the Department of Health, and one of 15 AHSNs providing geographical coverage across England. GM AHSN includes all the NHS provider and commissioning organisations and Higher Education Institutes in Greater Manchester and works in close partnership with the Local Economic Partnership. GM AHSN is looking to recruit an Industry Procurement Advisor to support the delivery of the Health and Wealth programme by empowering medtech companies in the Greater Manchester area to better understand and navigate the NHS procurement framework.
The successful applicant ideally will have extensive experience of the NHS procurement landscape, either from and NHS or company background and a track record of working with innovative providers of products/services.
The appointed candidate will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders at all levels across the NHS in Greater Manchester, creating strong and meaningful relationships. The appointed candidate will work with companies to develop feasible business cases for evaluation by the NHS to facilitate the adoption of innovative medical technology/products/services.
The Industry Procurement Advisor will support the overall AHSN objectives of creating jobs and increasing NHS expenditure with SMEs whilst ensuring value for money.
